WILFRED SUMMARY

This story tells the tale of a humongous, hairy beast on a quest to find a friend. One day, he comes across a town filled with bald people. Everyone ran away scared, that is, except for a boy. They played games and a friendship grew.

The townspeople said he was too big and hairy to be there, so he gave all of his hair to the people. Once winter came, however, Wilfred was not able to leave his cave because he was too cold without his hair!

One day, the boy went to find Wilfred. He froze in a blizzard, only to be saved by the beast himself! The townspeople finally accepted Wilfred and welcomed him as a hero!
