Below are some ideas to consider for your St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board.

1. Use paint chips as a border.

One of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board ideas is to use pain chips as the border.

I always feel the need to add in a disclaimer when I suggest anything that involves paint chip samples. If you ask the manager of Home Depot or Lowes, they are typically more than happy to let you have all of the samples you want/need for anything school-related. I’ve found Home Depot in particular to be very generous with project supplies. Please ask before you take. 🙂

With that being said, I’m really happy with how my latest bulletin board turned out using the paint chips as the border. I’ve been craving color lately!

2. Display a St. Patrick’s Day craft.

The second idea on the list of St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board ideas is to display a St. Patrick’s Day craft. Have students create a leprechaun, shamrock, rainbow, Ireland flag, or pot of gold craft. You can use materials like construction paper, paint, tissue paper, and felt. See the example of a leprechaun craft below.

3. Post student writing.

A St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board would look great to display any of the work from our Starts with a Story St. Patrick’s Day Read Alouds. If you are not familiar with them, each contains 30 writing prompts based on the book and themed stationary for the students to write on. Pair them with one of the craft ideas listed above and you’ll have a fun and festive St. Patrick’s Day bulletin board!
